Wilhelm Doors Celebrates Nine Years in Business by Eleanor Crampton
Wilhelm Doors is owned and operated by John Wilhelm. John celebrated nine years in his Thurmont business in January 2010. He supplies doors and openers for residential and commercial properties. John offers a 2-year labor warranty on all his work. His signature garage doors are Amarr, and the main opener he uses is Lift Master. However, John will use other brands of garage doors and openers if the customer prefers. He also services any brand of garage doors and openers.
From 1988-2001, John worked for MD Overhead Doors. In 2001, the company was bought out by a larger company, Hearth & Home. John was given a promotion and assigned to the Columbia area. After commuting to Columbia for awhile, John decided to work for himself and launched Wilhelm Doors. John’s business is located in his home on Wigville Road. He works long hours, most days from 5:00 am until 7:00 pm. John recently joined Jim Larochelle, L&E Construction, to sell Rigid Steel Buildings. These buildings are pre-engineered, versatile, and multi-purpose.
